BRIEFING
The Vidro+ Platform was developed to turn Portugal into a leading country in the collection and recycling of glass packaging, as well as in the incorporation of recycled glass in the production of new packaging. Under the premise of helping to increase the rate of glass collection and recycling, we were challenged to create an identity that would reach both the general public and the different agents of the container glass value chain that operate in the national market.
SOLUTION
Being aware that each time it is recycled, glass is 100% reused without waste, the inspiration for the graphic identity of this project emerged. From the interplay of Reflect + Recycle + Future, the concept “Reflect the Future” became the center of our project due to its double meaning. Not only is glass a reflective element of everything around it, but its recycling mirrors the all-important reflection on the future of our planet.
Various combinations of colors and shapes were then designed, expressing the idea that each recycled bottle can become another bottle altogether. It’s this glass’s ability to be infinitely transformed that enhances its potential. At the same time, only a constant evolution and re-creation, with a shift in mentalities and in habits, will allow us to build a better world.
